Presentation Woiboncana Keita.

The theme today will focus on early marriage and the reasons in Mali which is considered a harmful practice.

the reasons why our parents to marry our sisters very soon? Mr Mahamadou Diawara Bandiougou juvenile judge of Segou and Dr. Ibrahim Donigolo.

Mr Mahamadou Diawara Bandiougou: It is a social phenomenon and we are all a product of this company. You know with us for the education of girls we think when a girl is not married, she can slip fun that will spoil her womanhood. It has a design. That is why in our society girls are married very early without calculating the consequences that may be disposed of. In some ethnic girls at the age of 9 years, 10 years are given to marriage. The girl did not even have puberty. I'll tell you one thing in life of every human being, There are three major events: the birth, marriage and death. In these three major events the individual decides his choice in one. It does not decide his birth or his death. The only thing he has decided is his marriage. And that's where he can make a choice. Now our daughters to marry early is that they have this choice. Already, he y 'problem. While under the law, marriage is consensual. That is to say an exchange of consent. A girl of 9, 10, 11 years is that on this one can give consent. It is the parents who usually decide for them.

Dr. Ibrahim Donigolo: It's a cultural problem and customary. Men are tempted to have a virgin, they have this obsession in our society while it is rare to find such a girl without it being below 18 years. Parents also have this obsession with their daughter marry a virgin. He knows that y'al'autre slope of girls who have no husband. If a man has no hesitation parents sent their children.

Moderator: For Dr. Ibrahim Donigolo married his daughter before the age of maturity that is not the problem but have to do with the consequences that will endure in the marriage.

Dr. Ibrahim Donigolo: Girls who have not reached maturity in terms of social tension first, it may have a psychological repercussions around the life of a young girl at the same time as these girls will become pregnant. Understand that the girls have their basins that have not yet reached maturity. Very often it is pregnancies that are complicated and even deliveries that often lead to cesarean section for non immature pelvis that is, a basin that has not reached its maturity. It's girls who are age 14, 15, maximum 16 years hence on what river you can not tender a delivery because it can be complicated. The frequent complication we know today is especially bladder vaginal fistula. It's a very dangerous complications. When its comes this puts the social life of the girl in danger. Therefore one is tempted to intervene early in these young girls there so they do not have this complication. Early marriage can lead to this type of disease such as cervical cancer. Early marriage can be a source for these cancers due to frequent attacks on a hill that has not reached its maturity.
